clothing is rejected to be sent overseas for any number of reasons we grade
the material into specific grades to cater for various cleaning and polishing
applications. All buttons, zips and foreign objects are removed and the clothing
is cut into sensible sized pieces to now be used as a wiper. Unfortunately, the
buttons and zippers generally make up the largest percentage of waste. Our
customers demand different packaging and we are very flexible and can offer the
goods packed into 15, 25, 50, 200 & 300Kg Bags, Boxes or pressed Bales. For
your information, there has been a
great deal of marketing promoting the use of paper as an alternative to textile
wipers. Unfortunately, trees are cut down, initially, as a raw material to make
into paper. Even more unfortunate is the fact a tree once produced oxygen. In
line with our Environmental Policy Statement we are one of a very few (Global)
suppliers who will either: wash and re-supply the textile wipers back on a
continuous basis, or take back used wipers for correct disposal – what does
your policy state ? Stop Press… In line with our “reducing our impact on the Environment Policy”, we have invested Thousands of $ on new packaging machinery and we will soon be able to load 5 times more product on a pallet for transportation.
